Eze-Lap Sharpening Guide:
Never use diamond stones dry. First, this is bad for the surface of the diamond stone, and second, sharpening performance will be poor. Wet the sharpening surface every time before use! You should also avoid too much pressure on the surface when sharpening, and keep strictly away from the edges of the plate, as this can deform the plate and scrape off the diamond coating.
EZE-LAP manufactures a wide variety of diamond products. This lets you pick and choose the versions and variants that you think will best serve your needs. The vast array of diamond sharpeners in the product line includes small pocket size flat stones and compact, portable, round diamond sharpeners that are ideal for fishermen, sportsmen, or outdoor types. There are also larger diamond bench stones just right for workshop applications.
EZE-LAP uses five different diamond grit grades for its products. This wide selection in diamond sizes allows you to match the right diamond surface to your specific sharpening needs.
EZE-LAP says that the great majority of all sharpening can be performed by products with a fine (600) grit. This diamond coating has the abrasive ability to sharpen a dull knife in under a minute. The fine grit is offered on all EZELAP diamond product lines. Round sharpeners are available in the fine grit only.
If your job requires a surface that will sharpen quickly, but still leave a high-quality finish, EZE-LAP offers products with a medium (400) grit.
If you want to get the job done fast without losing sight of a good-quality finish, there are EZE-LAP products with a coarse (250) grit. The diamond surface lends itself to sharpening axes, shovels, garden tools, industrial shop tools and deburring applications.
For very fast metal removal try products with the extra coarse (150) grit. The diamond coating is perfect for roughing in or preparing for a final finish.
For the finest finish try products with a super fine (1200) grit. This coating is ideal for woodworking and industrial applications. Available on selected flat products.
