A smaller version of the 119, the classic 105 Pathfinder is Buck’s medium sized option in the famous 100 Series fixed blade line. Now with Buck’s premium S35VN steel and green canvas Micarta® handles, the 105 is excellent for general outdoor use. Features including a modified clip blade, full tang construction, a finger guard integrated into the blade, sure grip and leather sheath help make this knife one of the best options for the serious outdoorsman who needs a do everything blade. Micarta is known for its strength and durability and is nearly impervious to weather, oils, and solvents, making it slip resistant in wet conditions. Buck are known for their blades. Buck Knives is a market leader in edge retention thanks to their steel selections and heat treat process pioneered by industry famous, Paul Bos, whose heat treating system has proven to be the best in the business. Each blade is put through a rigorous heat treat process and quality performance test. It is then tempered to the appropriate Rockwell Hardness through a heating, freezing, and reheating system. This gives you longer edge life, ease of resharpening, and a blade that will not fail you.
